Born to an aspiring actress and Musical director father
Codyís life was surrounded by theatre and music from day one.
Growing up in West Hollywood California
Cody excelled in Vocals and Composition winning the Performance Award in his graduating year in High School in Los Angeles.
He went on to study at the University of Southern California where he toured the world for three seasons as a member of the USC Chamber Singers.
Cody ís break professionally started when he began working for Bill Conti, Oscar-winning composer of the “Rocky” film franchise. As an assistant to Mr. Conti, he worked on the scoring of Feature Films in Hollywood.
And was an assistant to the Musical Director for The 64th Academy Awards with many stars such as Celine Dion and Billy Crystal.
During that time Cody worked with singers Lionel Richie and Peabo Bryon and Actors Nicolas Cage and Cuba Gooding Jr.
As Musical Director and Staff Pianist for the Four Seasons Hotel Toronto he has performed and sang for Sting, Quincy Jones, Rod Stewart, and Natalie Cole . as well as actors Brad Pitt, Bruce Willis, Liam Neeson Michael Douglas.
In 2004 Cody scored the Feature Film “Breaking The Fifth”. Starring Frank Langella(Nixon) and Dom DeLuise(Blazing Saddles, The Muppet Movie)
Cody has worked for The Toronto Symphony Orchestra and The Charlottetown Festival.
In Media, Cody has written or produced for Proctor and Gamble (Bounce, Secret deodorant), Coca Cola. Sunwing, McCain Foods, Sprint, General Motors, Anheuser-Busch and many others.
He is currently a Producer/Performer for Fenwick Music, Grand Magic and Great Canadian Dueling Pianos.
